Like the PC Revolution in the 80’s, the Tele-com Revolution is sweeping now. Tele-com no longer means only voice communication. It embraces in its fold Data and Video Communications as well. The confluence and fusion of the three together has come to be known as CONVERGENT TECHNOLOGY.

Service Providers are increasingly leaning towards providing the benefits of convergent technology to the customers instead of providing only isolated services of one type or another. The telephone companies are preparing themselves to adding Broadband Services for carrying Data and Video Services on the single telephone line. Similarly, Internet and / or TV, Video providers have also to fall in line for providing the benefits of convergent technology.

Recognizing this trend of technical growth in this Sector, Logic Eastern (LE) had positioned itself to undertake R&D works for indigenously providing the necessary equipments for economic and reliable integration across the whole network for convergent technology. Products like STB, Switch, Edge Router etc. have been developed and deployed. MTNL Delhi is on the verge of launching video services on a limited basis for which Set top Box of Logic Eastern has been used.

Having developed the most crucial network components and having done tie ups with vendors for other components LE is ready to capture the IPTV and broadband network market that we would se burgeoning in the developing countries.
